The interesting feature of the caddis flies is the larva familiary know as a «  caddis worm ».

These larvae are aquatic, and most of them make for themselves complicated cases out of grains of sand, pieces of leaves or other debris, each species always using the same material. Wherever they go they drag their cases with them, and most of their bodies are white and soft, only the head and thorax, wich project from the case ; being armoured.
